Maintaining an Overview and Focused Work Made Easy
November 24, 2011
In the age of multi-tasking and constant interruptions, it is difficult to find your proper work rhythm, maintain an overview, and not forget or postpone tasks.
A solution is offered by “Pomodoro Technique Illustrated: The Easy Way to Do More in Less Time”, which the author explains in this book and illustrates with many drawings.
The latter are not only beautiful to look at, making the book a great gift, but also helpful because they help you memorize many things. I probably won’t forget the cute lion on page 74 anytime soon.
The basic components are: planning, focused work, and breaks. No major preparations are needed; you can start right away. A large part of the elements of the technique are well-known. However, the important thing here is the context and adhering to these techniques in your daily work routine so that you develop a rhythm.
Conclusion: The Pomodoro technique has fulfilled its promises for me and is excellently explained by the author. I can highly recommend this book.
