The Perfect Introduction to the Subject
April 14, 2011
The book “Real-time Rendering” is the perfect start to this field if you have prior knowledge of linear algebra and software development. It is up to date (as of April 2009) and contains current references to literature and games.
In some places, however, it moves quite quickly. In those instances, you have to read the argumentation carefully and verify it. But it is a textbook, after all: if you want to benefit from this book, you really have to hit the books.
In any case, I am absolutely thrilled, and the book is on my list of my 10 favorite computer science books.
