About Bund Check

In mid-2026 a German-language YouTube video — “Niemand will mehr deutsche Staatsanleihen” — argued from a single weak Bund auction that investors are abandoning German government debt. Its claims travelled far further than any correction. This site is the correction, built the only way corrections earn trust: from the primary record, reproducibly.

Every claim from the video sits in the register with a verdict — and no verdict shipped before its data: each claim carried an honest Not yet verified until its dataset was committed. Every figure renders from a downloadable dataset whose origin and checksums are documented. If you distrust a number here — good; run just fetch && just data and check.

This site is deliberately narrow: it is the reproducible evidence room for one worked case, its method laid bare in the anatomy of the fact-check. The sibling primer long‑and‑short covers the same ten claims and explains the mechanics in plain German; the claim pages here link forward into its chapters where a concept is needed. The link runs one way only.

§ A.1 Who makes this

A project by Jörn Dinkla. It is not affiliated with the Deutsche Finanzagentur, the Bundesbank, or the video's author.

§ A.2 AI involvement

Signed note on how this site is made

The data pipeline, page prose and verdict drafts were produced with an AI assistant (Claude, Anthropic), working from the official sources cited on each page; verdicts and all editorial judgments are reviewed by the human author before publication. The dataset the verdicts rest on is fetched from the Finanzagentur unmodified — the transform from raw file to page is open code in this repository.
