Chapters 1–4 carry the stable theory; chapter 5 is a dated snapshot. Developments after July 2026 land here as dated entries — appended, never rewritten, each one saying what changed and which page it touches. When an entry invalidates something in the snapshot, the snapshot gets a correction note pointing back here; the chapters themselves are only edited when the theory shifts, which is rarer and worth an entry of its own.

Site launched — the July 2026 baseline

First publication. The six chapters, glossary, and the mid-2026 snapshot reflect the field as of this date: sources are Osmani’s and Shapiro’s essays, Böckeler’s harness-engineering article, Horthy’s World’s Fair talk, the Stripe/Spotify/Cursor/StrongDM engineering write-ups, the Sonar survey, the METR trial and its walk-back — plus the run journals of this workshop’s own four factories. Anything published after 2026-07-24 is not yet reflected in the snapshot.
